What is Revenant ($GAMEFI)?

Revenant is the first decentralized gaming ecosystem on the Metis network.

Our mission is simple: we create blockchain games that are actually fun and allow YOU to earn money.

Revenant’s native governance token is $GAMEFI and it is the primary digital asset within our ecosystem.

$GAMEFI can be used for purchasing in-game NFTs, peer-to-peer payments, participating in community votes, gaming tournaments, and much more.

What is Metis?

Metis is an Ethereum layer 2 optimistic roll-up platform. Metis harnesses the security and decentralization strengths of Ethereum network with the added benefit of fast low cost transactions, native storage, and a user friendly interface to make deploying projects simpler for everyone.

Metis’ scalable protocol supports a wide range of use cases, including yield farming, DEX trading, and most important for Revenant, crypto gaming projects, among many other things.

Thanks to the implementation of the Decentralized Autonomous Company (DAC) framework within its Layer 2 infrastructure, Metis makes it easy for developers to build their projects, communities, and enjoy the benefits of the world’s largest decentralized finance ecosystem, without the downsides normally associated with Ethereum.

In sum, Metis is designed to be nearly identical to Ethereum, but with the main advantage of being cheaper, faster, more scalable, and easier to use. This makes it an excellent platform on which to host our gaming ecosystem.

MetisDAO team

The MetisDAO team has strong fundamentals and it’s only a bonus that their management team has strong ties to Ethereum and Vitalik Buterin. The co-founder of Metis, Elena Sinelnikova, has a successful track record as the founder of Crypto Chicks and is also a childhood friend of Buterin’s.

Natalia Ameline, a key piece of the project, is an experienced senior financial leader and Vitalik’s mother. Given their proven track record and ties to Ethereum’s co-founder, we are confident in this network housing the Revenant Ecosystem.

In addition, we have already met with the Metis team, which have provided further confidence that this is the right choice.

A growing TVL

Apart from that, Metis’ total value locked (TVL) (one of the best indicators of interest in and potential growth of DeFi protocols) has seen a dramatic increase from $400,000 to more than $300 million in TVL in less than four months.

Given these strong fundamentals, we believe the Metis chain is poised to become one of the main Ethereum alternatives within the coming years.

Why Metis is the perfect blockchain for Revenant

Apart from both our project’s being inspired by Greek mythology, the Metis Andromeda network is the perfect platform for Revenant to expand our gaming studio.

As the best Ethereum scaling solution, Metis provides a number of advantages for conducting our operations. In choosing our new home on the blockchain, we wanted to select a solution that would fit the needs of our community.

For that reason, we prioritized Metis’ low gas fees, blazing transaction speeds, and high security. Selecting a network that put our community first was essential for the Revenant team.
